Shock! Horror!
Jun. 5th, 2006 06:28 pm... another update within a month. TWO updates in less than two months... Whatever is the world coming to? :D
Well, I'm avoiding work, as usual, so you lucky people get to hear all about my interesting life mere days after it happens :)
Last weekend (the Bank Holiday) was the Heartland Games. Unfortunately, Friday afternoon I started to come down with a cold and sleeping in a wet, muddy field (well, in a tent in said field) didn't help matters and thus I wasn't really up for much over the weekend. Spent most of the time in the Archers' Guild trying to avoid Unicorns plot and getting neck deep in theirs. The rest of this year should be fun in LT. Also, heard a wonderful take on the whole Cadres issue - PIES! It all made sense if you were there.
Then last week was half-term which meant I spent my time recovering from being ill, catching up on work and planning lessons for the week ahead. Holidays? Just for the children...
Talking about my teaching, I'm now nearly finished my course. Have another 4 weeks left of teaching and a week and a bit after that in school and slacking... I mean assisting, obviously, then I'm done. Still don't have a job for September but there's a few weeks to go and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something will come up.
To round out my week nicely,
romauld and
roadkillgerbil came down Saturday night for Sunday LARPage. romauld brought his guitar, so we got some people round and sang random folk and larp songs until about half midnight. Then, Sunday was
drabbit's game where I got to play Hel again. Which was good. Hel is currently my favourite character and I got powered up by Iussis so I could tank stuff - always good for a scout :) Backstabbing for 16's was nice...
Of course, playing Hel means that her list needs to be updated... New entries Iussis and Orchid both come in above halfway. Most of the people present moved up at least a couple of places and the number 1 position has changed... In other news, Hel is still being silly about a certain someone and I need to have words with her about it :)
Well, better go now. Dave has just got in from doing laundry and needs a hug.
